 MOTHERBOARDS

A motherboard, also known as the mainboard or system board, is the primary circuit board in a computer. It is the central component that connects and controls all the other components of a computer, such as the CPU, memory, storage, input/output devices, and other peripherals.

The motherboard contains the connections for all the other components in a computer and is responsible for communicating between these components to ensure that everything works together. It also provides power to the components, manages the flow of data, and acts as a central hub for all the other components in the computer.

The motherboard contains a number of chips and components, including the CPU socket, memory slots, expansion slots, and various other ports and connectors. The layout of the motherboard, including the placement of the various components and connectors, is carefully designed to accommodate the components needed for a specific computer system. The size and shape of a motherboard also determine what type of computer case it can be used with.
