CHIPSETS
Chipsets are the
heart of any computer. They are a combination of microchips that control your
computer's functions and provide all the basic features on your motherboard. A
chipset refers to a set of integrated circuits (ICs) in a computer or device
that manages the data flow between the processor, memory, and other
peripherals. It acts as the intermediary between the CPU and other components
of the system, enabling communication and coordinating their functions. The
chipset determines what types of components can be used, the speed at which
they can work, and the features that are supported by the system. Some common
functions performed by the chipset include memory and I/O (input/output)
management, interrupt handling, and power management.
