MIPS

MIPS (Millions of Instructions per Second)

MIPS stands for Million Instructions Per Second, and it is a measure of a computer's performance. MIPS refers to the number of instructions that a computer's central processing unit (CPU) can execute in one second. It is a way of comparing the performance of different CPUs or computer systems, and it is often used in conjunction with other performance metrics such as clock speed and the number of cores.

A higher MIPS rating generally indicates a faster and more powerful CPU. However, it's important to keep in mind that MIPS is just one factor that affects a computer's performance, and other factors such as memory, storage, and graphics capabilities also play a significant role. In addition, MIPS is not a standardized measurement, and different CPUs may execute the same instruction in different ways, making direct comparisons between different systems challenging.
